Money-BOX
|
What is it?: A digital money box, like a piggy bank. How does it work?: Connected to your bank accounts and shows through lights money in money out. Abstract: Look at new ways to store/show money digitally in products that exist in UK houses already. Object selected to be merged with: House Lamp / Desk Light / Digital Clock |
| Hypothesis: We believe objects are being merged in modern households, example: Ikea Symfonisk Speaker reviewed (here + here), connects the need for sound and light together in a new type of object. Other simple objects are now being merged to allow wifi access with voice command systems like Alexa; Ikea is investing in this idea seriously here. So if this trend continues could there be a connection to day to day money that is seriously invisible to be visible; could everyday objects be used to replace phone usage? |
| Customer Segmentations: • Anyone in interested in seeing their money • Anyone wanting to disconnect from their phone Customer needs: A series of questions that can act as prompts; • Can I see when I'm up or down for the day on my account? • Can I see when money goes in and out of my account? • Can I have a reference point from my bank that is not related to my phone? • Is there an object that can be visual without language that represents my money? |
| Customer testing: TBC |
